So by definition courageous is a character, trait and qualities of a person who is resolved to do something he have previously declared despite overhwleming presence of fear and possibilities that he may not succeed.
The movie courageous is a great movie that I hope every family will watch so that every father will be challenged to be courageous, to stand up and answer the call for a courageous people, to do what they have resolve to do for their family.
It inspired me to pursue my vision in life "to leave a lasting godly legacy to my future generation." and to help others to pursue righteousness, godliness and responsiveness in their lives.
As a father it encourages me to do the same thing, to have the resolved to lead my family to God, to spirituallly filled life and to be respobsible stewards of God's possesion.
In response to the challenge, I will write my personalize resolution that I believe will be my strandard for my family. for the meantime below is an excerpt of the said resoultion.
THE RESOLUTION
I DO solemnly resolve before God to take full responsibility for myself, my wife, and my children.
I WILL love them, protect them, serve them, and teach them the Word of God as the spiritual leader of my home.
I WILL be faithful to my wife, to love and honor her, and be willing to lay down my life for her as Jesus Christ did for me.
I WILL bless my children and teach them to love God with all of their hearts, all of their minds, and all of their strength.
I WILL train them to honor authority and live responsibly.
I WILL confront evil, pursue justice, and love mercy.
I WILL pray for others and treat them with kindness, respect, and compassion.
I WILL work diligently to provide for the needs of my family.
I WILL forgive those who have wronged me and reconcile with those I have wronged.
I WILL learn from my mistakes, repent of my sins, and walk with integrity as a man answerable to God.
I WILL seek to honor God, be faithful to His church, obey His Word, and do His will.
I WILL courageously work with the strength God provides to fulfill this resolution for the rest of my life and for His glory.
As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. ---Joshua 24:15

ReplyDeleteIf I will have a vision of myself having my own family, I would want my husband to be someone like the four courageous men in the movie, who has faith in GOD and fearless in facing any tragedy that comes in their lives. I like the part in which they’ve learned to protect their families and realized that they should know and provide for the needs of their families. I want my children to see these traits from their father. As parents, I want both of us to become role models of good behavior and we will teach them the words of GOD. I’ll teach them courtesy and proper behavior. We will also teach our children to always be brave in facing the trials that will come to their lives, never forget to pray to our GOD, thank Him and praise Him for all the beautiful things and the blessings that He has given to us. I want them to remember that GOD never betrayed His followers, as long as we keep our devotion and don’t neglect our responsibilities to Him.
I was totally inspired by the movie. In this film, you will wish that someday your family will be just like what they had, the one that has unity and love together with GOD, as center of their lives .GOD has inculcate much influence to my family. I have come to realize that if there is no Lord among us, we wouldn’t have harmony and love with each other. And so, Lord has made a way to reach out for us and made us serve Him with love. I would also want each of us to be fully-devoted to the Lord, nothing or no one is worth-loving more than Him, above anyone else. I am very thankful because I know that God has already saved us from everlasting torment in hell.

The movie (Courageous) was very inspiring. The story really touched my heart. It opened up my mind about how big the responsibilities of a parent would be.
As I was watching the movie, I asked myself, “What will I do if I will be a parent?” “How will I raise my kids and how will I be a good parent and wife?” If I will raise a family, I want it to be a Godly one. I am praying that God will give the right man for me. I want God to be the center of my family. Just like in the movie, though they have faced many struggles and trials, they never lost their hopes. Because of their faith, God guided them and provided for what they need. He helped them all throughout their sufferings and at the end, gave them strength to overcome whatever challenges they were about to face. I strongly believe that God will provide for all our needs. We just need to have faith in Him and prosper whatever He has given to us. Secondly, I want my kids to grow as loving, caring persons. I want them to have respect for others. Just like what my Values Education teacher taught me, discipline and respect starts within the family. If a child is raised with faith in God, right attitude and respect to his parents and siblings, he will also learn how to respect other people and will pass these traits through his generation. I want my children to be loving kids in as much as I love my parents. I want them to appreciate simple things in life, be humble all the time, and help others in whatever ways that they can. I want them to be honest and trust-worthy. I want the best for my family. I am praying to God that He will guide me to become a good parent, so I can guide them to the right path and provide all the love and care that they need. I want to work for my family, so I can help my husband. I will love him and support him. I’ll be on his side, whatever happens. Together, we will build a happy family. We will help each other, so we can provide good life to our kids. We will face challenges together. For as long as we love each other, I believe that we can overcome any struggle.
I realized that parenthood has a lot of responsibilities and challenges. It requires much courage. For in every responsibility that we are accounted for, we should have courage to face it and stand for it. We should be brave to stand for what is right. Though life is full of challenges, we should never be afraid to conquer them. Through these challenges, we become tough. We need to be strong for our family. We just have to believe in God whenever we feel confused. We should never take Him for granted. I pray that when I also have a family, God will lead me and guide me so I can protect them and be a responsible parent through His will.

What I have learned from the movie Courageous, is that

3. we must have a balance appreciation of our children,
4. we must not turn our backs on Him, as it may lead to our destruction,
5. we must share the Good News to other people,
6. we must abide by our promises to Him, as any failure to abide, may lead to our fall.
7. we must have a strong faith to Him, as he will grant our prayers, but, we must also do our part, by doing what is Godly.
As I watched the movie, I have realized that we should put God into the center of our lives. Before anything else, we should ask Him for any plans that we want to do, as He has a better plan for us. Having a family, has never been an easy thing, especially if you weren't been able to prepare for it. But, if we put God into our family, we can assure of a peaceful, loving and a caring family that is bonded like parts of an atom.

ReplyDeleteWe all know that family is very important in every one of us. We will do everything that we can for them. We all have our responsibilities in regards with our family. Just like this movie entitled "courageous" , this movie tackled the responsibility of every father to their family. This movie also show their faith to god in whatever situation they have. This movie was very inspiring for me, because it gives me a lot of learnings that i can apply in the future when I become a parent too. It also shows me how it is important to have a complete family not only physically but also emotionally and spiritually, in a sense that they understand, help and support each other in every way.
As I was watching, I try to imagine myself putting on the situation of one the father in this movie, I realized that I was wrong in thinking that it would be easy to become a parent, now I knew that it is very difficult because it keeps you a lot of responsibilities so that it takes time to prepare. As the story goes on, it proves me one thing it is our faith in GOD. I think that if god is in our heart everything is possible. He gives us problems at times for us to be strong, not for us to suffer. Faith in him is the only key for us to be success but we must also need to do our part as well.
After watching this movie, I have a lot of realization thinking that we must always need a good relationship to our family members especially to our parents because we never know how big they sacrifice for us to have a better life, we must need to give our respect to them for us to have a respect too. I also realized that if a one person grew up in a harmoneous family, he will possess a good quality too to others.
I think the only bottomline in this movie is "ALWAYS KEEP YOUR TRUST TO GOD".

ReplyDeleteLast Friday we watch movie , title: “ Courageous “. This movie is about the four sherif men , they are all married and have their own family. It shows the responsibilities of being father and to handle family.
As for me if I will have my own family someday.I want that my future husband and I have our permanent job first , before we getting married and build our own family. To support all our needs in everday life. And even if we will have our children , I don’t think that I can stay londer at home. I need to work and I’ll do anything just for my family , because I want them to have a good life. Unless my future husband is financially stable . that he can provide our needs . As on the movie there is a part where the one man , died his only daughter . I think if that will happen to me I don’t think I can handle it. Almost all my life are with them , so they gone with me I don’t know how to let it go and move on . I felt what the Father’s felt when I watch that scene. It’s really hurt to lost a child. And that time come up on my mind that when I have a child/children in the future. I will surely show that I care for them. I will treat them equally and love them fairly. And Give them all they needs. Raise them to be better persons, will-disciplined and God-fearing.

As a Father, If I will be on their situation what Should I Do?
Simply "signing away rights" only provides that the parent no longer has the Ability to make decisions with regards to the care and upbringing of the child nor Right to Visitation. Think about it, if simply signing away one's rights to a child made non-custodial parents no longer responsible for child support every non-custodial parent who does not want to pay child support would be doing it.
"God is real. SO real! It's not a fairytale, I promise you. I came from a life of darkness, thought there was no way out. I Called out to God to help me and He did. My family and I have never been so happy. Everyone will be accountable to God one day. believers and non-believers. I promise if you call on Him, He will hear you. I pray you will do that. "

The movie "Courageous" is a nice film. It was full of lessons.
It teaches you how to stand before God. How to be a good servant.
Whatever consequences come to our lives, we must hold on and have faith to God because He always has a reason for
allowing such things to happen.The movie also tells how you can encourage
others to believe and trust in God. As an individual or part of a family,
you must be the one leading them or serve as a way in order for them to
devote themselves to God and have a closer relationship with Him .
If I will relate myself to the characters of the movie, I want to be a good follower and servant of God.
I want to be His instrument to encourage other people about how God can change their lives just like how He has
changed mine. I want to stand for what I believe is right and fair in God's rules.Just like Martinez, though he
already knew that he could lost his job if he did not obey his manager,he stood for what he believe is right and
surrender all his worries to God. For he believed that God will never let him alone, he prayed for His guidance
and His will shall be done.
